Now that you have completed the first heat, and you have scored your Yellow Wristband - and thus your entry into the Festival - you can start the game in earnest!
There is something you need to know before we proceed though - at the first hub you are presented with the three races that match your car choice, but at each hub thereafter (starting with Nice) you actually can choose the Championship Group you want to race in, since you then have access to your Garage and can buy Cars.
For example at Nice you are automatically slotted into the SuperCars Group because you arrive in a Ferrari in that class thanks to the Showcase Event you win - but you can choose a different Group - there are Sports Cars, Offrad, Hot Hatch, Track Toys, Classic Muscle, Modern Muscle, Iconic Rally, GT, and World Classics to start, but inside each of those Groups are the actual race selections - for example inside the Supercars Group are Modern Supercars (the one you will be entered in), Retro Supercars, and Hypercars.
I mention this so that you know that you have options and you can choose your own route - but as we will be following the story as it unfolds based on the game itself, if you deviate from that, you will be leaving the narrative of the guide. Something to think about.
Your first task is to make a Road Trip in the car that was provided. Mind what the organizer said - it is not a race... Yet. But when you get there? Well that's different!
As you race along the special moves you do earn points - and you can also earn Skill Points. You should unlock your first Skill Point midway through the Road Trip - and get to unlock your first skill! Since there is only one Perk you can unlock - the XP one - that will have to do!
When you arrive you will unlock the Achievement: Wanderlust (10G) Complete a Road Trip, and the Achievement: Welcome to Castelletto (25G) Arrive at Catelletto for the first time.
A full list of the Achievements for the game can be found in the Achievements Section, but to put a fine point on this, our game play is not oriented towards unlocking Achievements so much as we aim to have Achievements unlock as a result of our game play. You see the difference?
