Barn Finds Guide

At first when we started playing we thought that the Barn Finds would appear as you reached certain levels - now we can say with certainty that is NOT true. In fact considering all of the time we spent in the game hunting Boards for our Guide we are now very confident that it is actually TIME that causes them to be revealed, and NOT levels!

Consider this - we spent four plus hours at Level 12 and that is pretty much when the first three showed up. Additional showed up after hours spent at Levels 13 and 14, so that puts rest to the theory that you have to reach specific levels to unlock them!

The First Barn Find - 1973 Renault Alpine A110 1600S

First Barn Find: Abandoned Classic East of Sisteron

After you arrive but before you start racing you should be told about the first Barn Find here - when you check the map you will see a large white radar area marked - you need to search through it to tighten in on the location of the barn find - so why not do that now?

Look on the map and you will see a house near the riverbed near the center right of the map - when you arrive you will trigger the animation of finding your first car - which for us was a 1973 Renault Alpine A110 1600S. Sweet!

The Second Barn Find - Volkswagen Type 2 De Lux

Second Barn Find: Abandoned Classic North of Montellino.

You find the barn in the woods just off the main road in a barn that is encircled by a low stone wall - (see the video above) and inside there is a classic 1963 Volkswagen Type 2 De Luxe (hey I want one of these IRL).

Once you claim it off it goes to be fixored!

The Third Barn Find - 1945 Jeep Willys MB

When you arrive at the farm on the left lower corner of the circle (look at the video) you open the Barn to find, of all things, a bloody World War II vintage 1945 Jeep Willys MB - a very desirable and sought after restoration project to be sure. I know this bloke in Australia who has restored something like 12 of them in the last 40 years, and when they are done they are awesome.

She'll let ya know when it's pristine!

Conclusions and Notes

A few points come to mind with respect to this collection - one being that each of the Cars in it will count for the Achievements for number of cars in your garage - which is pretty cool since that means that these 10 cars (along with the 10 or so you get from spinning the Level Wheel - don't have to be purchased!

When you complete the finding and restoration of all 10 of these Cars, you will unlock the Achievement: Storage Hunter (20G) Restore 10 ban Finds.

Another point to consider is that IF you had to actually pay for these Cars, chances are you wouldn't ever actually own them, since they are pretty expensive and rare rides. But then that is sort of the idea behind the legendary Barn Find story, right?

A Word on Availability: Other guides you will find online claim that these Barn Finds are Level-based. They are NOT. We got the first 8 in our game BEFORE passing Level 14 - and we can say with authority that the are TIME based, and NOT Level Based. We noticed that we got a new Barn Find every HOUR. So when we hit 8 hours of game play, we got the 8th find, and likewise 9 hours and the 9th, ten hours and the 10th - we are pretty sure that is how it works.

Also note that they do not seem to have times on them - the last two we left hanging while collecting all of the 1K and 7500 XP Bonus Boards - so you do not have to worry about the Barn Find going away once it is flagged on your map!
