Introduced in Pokemon OR/AS, the Mauville Food Court functions similarly as the restaurants in Pokemon XY's Lumiose City. After placing your order, you'll be given a seat. While you're waiting for your food, various trainers will approach and challenge you to battle, in an attempt to take away your seat.
First-timers can only order the Village Sub Combo for P1000. This combo consists of Single Battles only. The other food stalls have a line which indicates that they're currently locked. When they're available, order from the other stalls to fight a series of battles with different formats and set of trainers.
Mauville Food Court battles can only be done once per day.

Errr my street thug soyer in OR had a Scrafty, Arcanine and Krookadile. Which was a super obnoxious battle if you don't seriously outclass them. All 3 with intimidate and then using snarl every turn... Ughhh.... Longest triple battle ever.
This is actually really helpful, I can totally grind money with this, thanks.
