Type: Defender
Tachanka just excels on the Presidential Plane map (especially on hostage situations). Actually, Tachanka is best chosen in hostage situations because he can basically cover one direction on his own. He can block corridors, doorways, and windows as long as they are the only way to reach the objective. Most of the times, there are multiple entrance points to the area. The other four defending operators should really cover those up and protect Tachanka on the RP-46 Degtyaryov Machine Gun from being flanked or “backstabbed” because he can’t fight back when attacked outside the 120 degrees he can turn around to.
The RP-46 Degtyaryov Machine Gun is best used with TWO deployable shields in front because it can both protect the gunner and provide an obstacle course for the attacking team. The RP-46 Degtyaryov Machine Gun is usable by everyone including the attacking team (hence he is not recommended on Biohazard situations. As already mentioned, the deployable shield is giving you the best protection so when there is a Tachanka there should be a Mute, a Castlle, a Rook, a Jager, and / or even a Recruit.
