Glaz is the only operator who can pose as a sniper. Rainbow Six: Siege is never about long range shooting. It is all about clearing rooms, corners, and passages. The Glaz can still impact the game with its ability to shoot from a distance because of (1) when defending teams decide to take the fight outside (2) the points of interests are in the upper floors, (3) walls are blown wide open. Glaz can also provide a distraction by shooting through walls. Glaz’s OTS-03 can shoot through Castle’s Armor Panel.

Glaz can take out enemies in the Presidential Plane because he can shoot through the windows. However, you must hope that the hostage / chemicals / bombs are located in the passenger area, otherwise, he is going to struggle because of the tight corners. He can also dominate a game in the Kanal map when the point of interest is in the control room. Most of the defending teams will try to snipe out the attacking teams because they are in the open. However, Glaz can easily pick them off one-by-one.

The Bank map also gives an advantage to the Glaz because of the glass windows. You just have to rappel in those gigantic glass windows and shoot everyone inside from a distance.
