Pulse can detect attackers through walls and ceiling. Attacking operator cannot go in stealth mode against Pulse because he can detect anyone from the outside. Nitro Cell is the more useful gadget for him because he can install it in one place and if he detects attackers nearby the area, he can detonate it. Also, with great communication with teammates, other operators can detonate their own Nitro Cell if one of the operators happen to pass by it and the Pulse is able to pick the heartbeat up. This is where the microphone (which we really recommend in playing this game) comes in handy.
Thatcher can also disable Pulse’s HB-5 Cardiac Sensor. Twitch will disable the Cardiac Sensor to if she manages to hit the sensor. However, that would be a waste of Shock Drone ammunition if it just hits on Pulse’s Cardiac Sensor than Pulse himself.

Pulse is also very speedy as he is able to run around rooms quickly in order to scan them for attackers. He is better in being a surprise attacker rather than a front-line because he is too thin armor-wise and his weapons are not the best in terms of dealing damage in a firefight.
