There will be certain days where you’ll be able to secure a seat in the morning train ride. This will allow you to read any magazine or book you have in your possession. Normal reading sessions consume time slots so reading them whenever there’s a seat available is a time well spent. Short magazines usually take one session to complete but books that increase social stats (make these your priority for your first playthrough!) may take 2 or more sessions to complete.

If you cleaned up the room last night and obtained the book Yoncha Wanderer, you should be able to completely read it during the trip. The batting station and bathhouse will also become available as fast-travel points. If you managed to buy a book or two from the Central Street Bookstore yesterday, you should be able to make finish halfway through the book.

Consider getting a part-time job if you need more funds. If your Social Stat isn’t that high, you can only get the job at the convenience store. You can check out the job fliers in the Shibuya Underground Walkway. These jobs will make time pass so consider your schedule to maximize the time you'll be spending to other more important stuff like increasing the Confidant rank of available confidants during the specific time slot. There are also certain requests (sidequests) and confidants that you can only unlock by spending time with these part-time jobs.
