You will not be given access to the Tree Groves until your farm reaches Level 10, and once it does the Groves (there is an FCV Construction Project version that costs $10Kc and requires requested materials and neighbor labor to build, and a pre-built version that costs $22b but lays the trees out in a straight line rather than as a block of four trees).
The Grove/Orchard that you build using the Grove Construction Project and FCV holds four trees. In addition to allowing you to save a small amount of space (each grove takes up the room of a half-unit less than four trees placed in a block would take up, so once you have multiple Groves in place you actually are saving space), they also have other special effects:
- Each Grove holds four Trees.
- When all four are the same type they deliver extra fruit per harvest.
- Trees placed in a Grove require less water to tend them.
- Growth Timers for Groves are averaged between the timers for the Trees that are placed in it.
Tree Groves offer the ability to have more trees in less space.
To construct the FCV-based Grove Projects you will require the following resources that are requested from your friends:
- x8 Buckets of Paint (Feed Request)
- x8 Bags of Grove Soil (Direct Request)
- x8 Wood Planks (Direct Request)
Chances are you already have a supply of Wood Planks due to their being a popular selection for the daily Free Gift you can give to your neighbors, plus they tend to appear in the Feed a lot too.
The factor that is causing the new Groves to influence Tree deployment is the fact that they only hold four trees (in the original Farmville they held considerably more).
It is possible that at some point in the future they may introduce larger Groves but this is doubtful; the reason that the Groves only hold four trees is likely because the farms in FarmVille 2 follow a much smaller and more intimate set of dimensions...
So as you proceed and begin deployment of your Tree resources you may want to bear all of this in mind and restrict your purchases to groups of four, since mixing tree types in your future Groves will have a detrimental effect.

I'm at level 27 and have never been offered groves or anything but fruit trees. It Makes the special event impossible as a lot of the crops require pine logs.
I have all of the Level's....will we be allowed more groves?
Removing trees from your Groves
Once you have watered your Trees, you cannot remove them from the Grove until they have matured.
If you wish to remove them from the Grove before this, you can use Speed-Grow to instantly mature your Trees so they can be removed.
To remove a Tree from the Grove, open the Tools menu (tools icon) on the bottom right hand corner of the game screen. Select the “Move Tool” to click on the Tree in your Grove, then drag and drop it into the farm.
Note: Any watered Tree outside of the Grove will lose its Water once placed inside the Grove.
To add a Tree in the Grove, click on the Grove and then the green “Add Tree” button. All of your available Trees will automatically highlight in blue.
I did not receive the grove construction project
Bear in mind that the game recycles the quest and build projects randomly so as long as you keep doing any prompted quests and/or projects it will eventually get around to offering you the Groves Build again.
If you are level 10 or higher, you will see the following pop-up. Click on “Place Grove” to get started.
Your first step is collecting construction parts. You will need the following items to start building your Grove: (1) Buckets of Paint, (2) Bags of Grove Soil, and (3) Wood Planks in various numbers.
Click on the “Ask” button to send Building Material requests to your Neighbors. If you do not wish to wait for your friends, you can skip any of these tasks by spending Farm Bucks (Premium Currency). You can send additional requests for materials to your Friends every 18 hours.
Once you have collected the required items, click on the “Start Building!” button at the bottom of the construction Menu. Once you have built the actual Grove from the parts you collected you will need a little more help from your Neighbors to finish the job.
The Grove requires 4 additional mechanics, so click on the “Ask Friends” button to send some crew requests to your Friends.
I did not receive the grove construction project and I'm a level 18 now. The option to purchase with coins is also not available in the general store. What is the next step to obtaining these?
i missed the grove construction project at lvl 10. I'm now lvl 11; how can i get groves at this lvl?
If you have mixed trees in an orchard in farmville 2 how can I take them out of the orchard
