Animal Mastery System

Once your farm reaches Level 9 the Animal Mastery system is unlocked, and you begin building points with each feeding. Like the Crop Mastery system, Animal Mastery uses the three-tiered recognition system - Yellow Ribbon, Red Ribbon, and Blue Ribbon.

Just like Crop Mastery, the Animal Mastery system uses Mastery Signs to mark your success and your progress - the signs display your current Mastery Level for each animal and the grow in size with each successful leveling.

While this Mastery system is similar to the Crop Mastery system, the difference here is that the counter towards Mastery is incremented via feeding, not planting and harvesting. That is problematic due to the fact that you feed the animals less often (obviously) than you can plant crops.

The good News is that you will earn Mastery points from feeding each animal regardless of its actual status - meaning that you get points for feeding Adult AND Prized versions of each animal...

In addition to gaining a nifty sign (and having the sign upgraded with each new level of Mastery) you will also be paid a visit by the NPC hosts and some of the type of animal that you leveled to deliver a supply of Speed Feed as part of your reward.

The number of feedings that is required for each of the three levels is different for each animal - or rather there are a collection of different requirements that sort of spread throughout the animal kingdom, but for our purposes it is all the same - you have the animals, you feed the animals, you build Mastery, and you get cool rewards :)
