The Redarian soldiers' mistake turned out to be Geralt's good fortune. He rescued several valuable items from the **** they sank, then traded them for a great deal of coin.

The gradual expansion of literacy in the Northern Realms pleased Geralt greatly, for this meant he happened across more and more interesting notes and missives such as those he once found on th banks of the Pntnar, near Oxenfurt...

Objectives

  • Read the letter you found

During his travels, Geralt came across a certain letter. As he was picking it up, he could not help but notice it mentioned something about valuables. He decided he would have to be sure to give it a careful read.

Treasure Hunt: An Unfortunate Turn of Events

Find the Treasure

This Treasure Hunt is flagged when you read the letter that you find on the dead body on the shore partly under a boat at the Abandoned Site that is located on the other side of the river directly north of Lurch (look for the long wooden bridge). The body is laying partly in the water on the southeast corner of the site.

While Geralt new reading other people's correspondence was ill-mannered, he also knew it could prove extremely useful - for one never knows what interesting discoveries one might make. . .

Once you have read the letter simply dive into the water here and use your Witcher Senses to spot the red glowing chest - you will have to use your Crossbow to dispatch some Drowners, but otherwise this is an easy Treasure Hunt!

Bodies aren't hard to come by in Velen. But to find a corpse whose hand still grasps a note mentioning a Treasure - that is a rare thing, indeed. THus Geralt decided to read them carefully and investigate the strange story they might be hiding.

Collect the goods from the same crate as usual. if you get it to the drop-off on time, you'll get the full sum we agreed to. If you get it there no later than a week after we agreed, you'll get half. If you're later than a week, you're dead.

Treasure Hunt: The Dead Have No Defense

Flagged by finding the note on a dead body - Suggested Level 9

You will find this randomly - it can be flagged in multiple locations - and it is a very simple and easy to complete quest in that all you need to do is read the note you found...

Note posted to Notice Board: Unwary visitors to cemeteries just might find their stay prolonged indefinitely. The dead don't always like having their rest disturbed, while necrophages never like having their meals interrupted. Once time, the Witcher happened across just such a group of under-prepared,or possibly simply unlucky, cemetery goers.

One of them had been carrying notes of some kind. Driven by curiosity and, I surmise, a loack of anything better to do at that precise moment, Geralt set about reading the sloppily-written document....

It turned out robbing corpses was not the gold mine Olaf and his crew had imagined. The Witcher, though, made a tidy profit off their "labors."

Objectives

  • Read the document you found

Treasure Hunt: Dowry

Find the Treasure

Flagged from the note found on the body near a Hidden Treasure -- Suggested Level: 32

Travel in wartime can be dangerous. For example, once Geralt came across an abandoned cart by the roadside, and near it found a blood-stained letter written in an elegant female hand. Intrigued, he began to read...

  • Read the letter you found

  • Find the Treasure

Treasure Hunt: Hidden from the World

Find the Treasure

Flagged by looting the bandit at the Hidden Treasure north of Toderas - Suggested Level: 7

They say the road to hell is paved with curiousity. The Witcher, though, always held the road to riches is paved with the exact same stuff. Thus when he found a letter mentioning Treasure, he decided to give it a long and careful read...

Head across the road and up the hill to collect this Treasure and voila! Completed.

Objectives

  • Read the letter you found

  • Find the hidden goods mentioned in the letter by using your Witcher Senses

Treasure Hunt: Lost Goods

Locate the Treasure

Flagged from a body found at the Hidden Treasure Marker north of the Ferry - Suggested Level: None

While meandering the bogs of Velen, Geralt found some notes written by a frustrated soldier. He decided to read them - and they turned out to be a quite interesting read indeed,,,,

Treasure Hunt: Out of the Frying Pan, into the Fire

Find the Treasure

Flagged from note found on body in cellar of hidden Treasure site - Suggested Level - N/A

While passing through a burned-down village, Geralt came across a body. After indulging in his bizarre habit of searching every rotting corpse that corsses his path, he found the departed individual had been carrying a set of notes written in a very unsteady hand. Giguring these might be the dying man's last words, Geralt decided to read them closely...

After reading the note we want to go outside and search by the hay stacks with our Witcher Senses to find the stash - finding the stash completes this Hunt!

Objectives

  • Read the notes you found

  • Search the dead man's hiding place using your Witcher Senses

Treasure Hunt: Queen Zuleyka's Treasure

Locate the Treasure

Flagged by looting the Hidden Treasure Camp on the Coast of Wrecks - Suggested Level 4

Geralt was, at his core, a curious individual. Thus when he found a letter on the coast of Velen, he sat down to study it right away....

Another easy one - just swim out the the wreck killing any Drowners with your Crossbow and then loot the Treasure!

Objectives

  • Read the letter you found.

  • Find the sunken Treasure using your Witcher Senses

Treasure Hunt: Sunken Chest

Recover the Treasure

Flagged at multiple locations - Suggested Level 4

Flagged at Hidden Treasure on small island south of Fyke Isl. in Velen.

Geralt happened across an intrguing note written by someone who, first of all, clearly suffered from poor memory, and, secondly, had hidden valuables somewhere nearby...

This is also the site of one of the Wolf Diagrams.

Objectives

    Read the notes you found

Find the sunken Treasure chest using your Witcher Senses

Treasure Hunt: Sunken Treasure

Recover the Treasure

Flagged at multiple locations - Suggested Level 4

While in Velen, Geralt stumbled upon a letter to a certain Molke. Figuring it was of no use to its addressee now, he took the document with him, with the intention of reading it at a later date.

Here is the thing - the Treasure is underwater nearby - but it is guarded by a pair of Level 10 Drowner. The good news though is that you can use your Crossbow underwater and it usually only takes one hit to kill them! So kill them then recover the treasure... And try not to drown right?

Objectives

    Read the letter you found

Find the sunken Treasure using your Witcher Senses

Treasure Hunt: Tough Luck

Read the letter you found

Flagged off a random corpse / wagon chest - Suggested Level 18

Geralt came across an abandoned cart. A letter which he found nearby suggested it had been carrying valuable cargo. He decided to read the letter carefully, then take a good hard look around.

Though Geralt felt sorry for the people to whom the wagon had once belonged, this did not stop him from taking the goods which they had left behind. You might find fault with this but... Those were tough times, and the Witcher was sorely in need of coin...

Objectives

  • Read the letter you found
