To make this guide easier to use we break each of the Acts up into their logical components, with the Side Quests divided as makes sense for that purpose. The following are the side quests for the main story that take place during the period in which you are based in Act III...
Meet with the conspiracy hub
Flagged by the main story side-mission Blindingly Obvious -- Suggested Level: 30
Momentous decisions altering the fate of entire nations are often made under unusual circumstances. For example, when Geralt was asked to take part in the assassination of King Radovid, he was standing in a bathhouse in Novigrad, half-naked and staring at a sweat-soaked Dijkstra.
If he agreed to join in, he was to attend a meeting in a warehouse by the docks. There the co-conspirators would hash out the details of their plan to kill the most powerful ruler in the North.
As the meeting gets started it is instantly clear that Dijkstra actually liked Philippa's idea.... But he has a twist on the plan - if you are willing to red herring the King that is....
The plan is not really that bad if you think about it - assuming you can actually convince the King that is.... Hey does that owl look familiar?? Yup it is her!
Outside she offers you her own insight - she tells you which way up is - and I would listen to her if I were you! She gives you a bauble that may actually help you convince the King!
The ring does the trick - perhaps too well it seems - as the King is coming with you and, well, pretty much everyone else! A freaking army?
When you arrive at the bridge the King double-crosses you - but Roche rescues you! Just be careful of the barrels as you fight - they are explosive ones and you don't want to blow yourself up do you?
After you battle your way to the end your chance to kill the King is stolen - by Philippa! Roche is stunned! And ****** off!
As this side-quest completes you unlock the Achievement: Assassin of Kings (15g) Take part in the assassination of King Radovid.
You also get an interesting set of CS's and conclusion that does not quite go as expected - at least not for Roche.... It sucks that Dijkstra put you in the position of needing to kill him - but kill him you do! Because hey, you don't abandon your friends!
