As soon as you arrive, you’ll receive the Communicator Model G. Save the exploration of the ship for a bit; just continue the lift to the bridge. After the conversation is over, your party will only be left with Victor and Miki. Leave the bridge and visit another floor then return to the bridge to continue with the story.
Fidel will join the ladies to the engine room to watch the gravitic warp drive get imbued. Once done, head to the bridge. After successfully getting the ability to cruise at Warp 15, you have to sleep in your private quarters to continue further with the story.
For the meantime, you’re also free to explore the ship and use the transporter as you see fit. The ship’s shops are also upgraded so spend some time upgrading your party’s gears and get some Item Creation done. Additionally, there are also several Private Actions that you can do here. (Use the lift to visit another deck to re-activate the PA icon)
For the other optional stuff that you can do at this point, please refer to the optional section below.
When you’re ready to continue with the story and after doing the optional tasks you wanted to do, go back to the ship and rest in your private quarters. After that, head to the bridge to see a long cutscene. After managing to secure the enemy ship with the Charles D. Goale’s tractor beam, you’ll have to board it via the transporter.
Tip 1: The berry shop in the ship sells Micro Circuits. You can synthesize those to produce Engineering Materials like blank disks that can teach new powerful battle skills to Emmerson and Anne. In addition, you also have the chance to produce rare Laser Oscillators (at least Quality of 40) which are required for a bulletin board quest in Central Resulia. Since these are rare and micro circuits aren’t cheap, it’s recommended to save your game and reload until you get all three through Synthesis.
Tip 2: There is a surge of new sidequests in the bulletin boards as well. It’s recommended to tackle them before continuing with the story. Since you have the Communicator back, traveling will be a lot easier now.
Tip 3: At the same time, new Private Actions will become available. One particular PA in Myiddok between Emmerson and Miki will unlock the Minstrel role which boosts SP gain by x%. This stacks up with another SP boosting role, Altruist and an accessory called Testament to Truimph. This is a good skill to have if you’re planning on boosting those roles and specialties you haven’t leveled up yet.
Tip 4: There’s a series of PAs with Miki in Eastern Trei’kur that will unlock the Vivifier role. This role will inspire your allies to act more at a cost of lowered defense and mentality. This is another great role to place on Relia when you get her back in the party.
Tip 5: In the Trei’kur Slaughtery, the door to the west will be opened now. Before heading there, make sure to accept the Wanted request in Eastern Trei’kur to subjugate Hannah the Rapturous since you’ll also find her there. Head there and go through the newly opened door leading west. Go upstairs and loot the Parchment from the chest inside an alcove. Continue along the path and go upstairs again to reach the chest on the porch containing a Signet Card: Arctic Impact. After getting the chest, continue forth and you’ll find Hannah.
Tip 6 (Laser Weapons): At this point, there are new enemies in the world and thanks to the transporter, it will be easier to farm Materials at this point. If you want to craft some of the best equipment you can make at this point, you need one important component: A meteorite.
Meteorites can be easily acquired near the end of the game but if you can’t wait, it’s possible to make them now First, you have to make sure that your Alchemy skill level is at least 6. To create a meteorite, you need the following:
In the other hand, Mythril can be obtained from mining nodes with a very small success rate. Since Platinum is easier to farm at this point, Crafting mythril seems to be a very good option. Creating Mythril requires the following:
Now first, both of them requires Alchemist’s water. Great Scumbags in the Resulian Plains drop a generous amount of them, especially if you have maxed out the Anthropology specialty (increases the drop rates of humanoid enemies) On top of the Alchemist’s Water, you can also get important Materials like High-Strength Adhesive, Fermentation Pot, and Faerie Embroidery Thread. If you Synthesize at least 5 Fermentation Pots, you may get rare signeturgical materials like Manacloths and Mana Ribbons.
For the platinum, you can farm the Lava Golems in the Trei’kuran Dunes. It’s preferred to farm them along with the Kobolds near the Eastern Trei’kur entrance so you can get additional drops from them. In addition, Lava Golems also drop Gnomestones, Silver, and Ruby.
Primeval Fossils can be hunted from Hades Crabs in the Passage on the Cliff. It’s preferred to hunt them with Antlered Tortoises since these behemoths also drop platinum.
Now once you have a good amount of meteorites, it’s time to craft. One of the best Weapons at this point is the Laser Weapon which has an insane amount of ATK and INT rating at this point of the game. Furthermore, this weapon can be equipped on ANYONE. This can only be acquired through Synthesis. The results are still RNG-based so make sure to save your game before making any attempts so you can easily reload.
First, you have to make a very important component: the Hadron Collider. You can make this by having a quality rating of at least 46, with as little impurities as possible. You need one meteorite as a key ingredient, 1 High-Capacity Blank Disc, and x3 Diffusion Device. This gives you a quality/impurity ratio of 50/15. High-capacity blank discs can be synthesized from x5 Micro Circuits. Micro Circuits and Diffusion Devices are sold in the berry shop of the ship. After getting the Hadron Collider, save your game, then synthesize it with x3 Diffusion Device until you get the Laser Weapon.
