Your party will be transported to the far eastern end of the ice-covered land of Sohma. The area is large but you can only head west as the game won’t allow you to fully explore the area yet. Once in control, follow Victor along the path to find a save point and healing point. There, the party will circle around and you have to talk to each of them in order to continue with the story.
When you’re ready to move, head west. There’s a chest containing Cinnamon x2 that you can pick up along the way. Continue to the south and Victor will leave again. You’ll have to leave to the west to the Trei’kuran Dunes. You can check out the wares the merchant is selling and get the Mind Bracelet from the chest near him as well. You can’t go further south to Resulia or further north at the moment. Further west, you’ll find another chest containing a Moonlight Signets, Vol. 1.
Continue along the path and you’ll encounter Pavine with his Kronos cohorts. After a brief exchange of insults and after Emmerson calls in some reinforcements, the fight will begin.
Similar to the boss fight with the Eitalon bandits, leave Pavine alone for now and take out the smaller fries first since they’ll most likely interrupt and target your healer and ranged characters. Keep in mind that Miki can’t be controlled in this fight so you have to use your other characters to protect her so she can do her job in keeping the party members alive. As usual, Anne will do a great job in crowd control while Fidel will be able to deal considerable damage to single targets. Once all of the enemy minions are taken care of, you can comfortably concentrate your attacks on Pavine.
Once he’s down at 25% HP, a short cutscene will trigger where he fires a barrage of shots that will injure Miki and boot her out of the fight. You need to finish the fight and rely on your stock of consumable healing items to keep your characters alive until you finish off Pavine. After defeating Pavine, the lengthy cutscene will ensue and you’ll be taken to Emmerson and Anne’s ship, the Charles D. Goale.
Follow Anne to the ship's medical bay for the onboard physicians to attend to Miki. After the scene, you'll be able to roam freely around the ship. Miki will be temporarily out of the party while she's recovering. Once done, follow Anne to the elevator as she takes you to the ship's bridge. Once there, Emmerson will join the party and will explain your next destination. Head to the transport room and step on the transporter. You’ll be transported to the Trei’kan Dunes where you have to search the secret facility where Relia is supposedly kept before.
The important part of this movement in the plot is receiving the Communicator from Emmerson. This handy device will allow you to be instantly transported to the Charles D. Goale and use the ship’s Transporter to conveniently travel to the previous maps you have visited. This is very handy since you can now complete all the available possible Quests and Private Actions without travelling from place to place on foot. If you also want to farm specific enemies for loot or SP, you can conveniently do it using this handy device as well. There are also new Private Actions inside the ship; you can trigger them near the savepoint.
The ship has a savepoint and healing point so use them as you see fit. There are a handful of decks in the ship but the transport room has the most items of interest since you’ll find a chest containing Restorative Signets Vol. 1 which you can use on Fiore for her to learn a new healing skill. Also, since Miki is out of commission at the moment, set some healing role on Fiore to allow her to prioritize healing while also attacking.
Furthermore, the shops in the ship also carry the latest equipment and Materials for Item Creation. Purchase some new equipment for your current party and try to create new items from all the available materials in your inventory. Take note that completing the next location will remove the Communicator from your inventory so try to use it to the fullest before moving on with the story.
