Center of Signeturgy, Santeroule

Upon arriving in the city, Fiore will lead you to the Royal Institute. You can’t go anywhere immediately so follow her up to the building entrance and you’ll be able to explore the city at your full leisure. Refer to the map below to know the location of the items and shops.

In addition, there are also new Quests in the bulletin board in the south of the plaza right before you reach the alley where the shops are located. What you’ll find in the city that you can’t find anywhere else is the Signet Card shop. This shop sells Signet Cards, consumable items that artificially produces the effect of signeturgical spells. Having some of these at hand, especially the party-healing and revival spells can be handy if your healer(s) are busy or knocked down.

The other shops have new ingredients and Materials that you can use to produce more items via Item Creation. On top of creating these items, make sure to stock a good amount of them if you can afford it just in case a quest requiring them comes up. There are also new Private Actions in front of the Santeroule inn; however, you can’t access the inn until you’re done talking to the director and progress the story a bit.

Once ready, enter the institute. You’ll immediately notice the unusual and unnatural aesthetic of the place. Just follow Fiore as she leads you to the director’s room. The first room to the north has Magic Seeds from a chest to the west. In the next set of identical rooms, there’s a lone chest to the NE containing an Anti-Silence Amulet. There’s also a locked chest inside the director’s office so just take note of its position for now.

Upon reaching the director, a conversation will trigger discussing Relia’s signets and mysterious power. Casius will then suggest going to the Ancient Institute. Make your preparations then spend the night at the inn. Exhaust the Private Actions by sleeping at the inn over and over again. To reach the Ancient Institute, you have to leave through the city’s NW gate and venture to the North of Eastern Eiheids.

Note: There are also new Private Actions in the other towns as well so make sure to trigger them if ever you’ll need to backtrack some of the locations near them in pursuit of completing Quests.
