Festival Plaza

Making a return to The Alola Region is that of Festival Plaza, where players can meet online for Battles & Trades. There are also many more things to do here as there are plenty of Stores and other activities for players! It can be accessed at any time by simply clicking on the icon on the lower menu screen. The Battle Agency can also be visited within Festival Plaza.

One unique feature specifically about Festival Plaza is that it will interact itself with players you find both locally and online, where you can then interact with those given players' avatars to help you earn Festival Coins to spend on various activities of your own. This feature is not limited to just people on your 3DS Friend List, but instead all the players that are also playing online. And when you or these people see each other on their lists or in their Festival Plaza, you can challenge each other to battles or request trades.

The more things you do in Festival Plaza, the more facilities will be built as you level up, and thus, more things to do in said shops. To level up, a player will need to earn a certain amount of Festival Coins (FC), obtained by doing a variety of activities. This makes it very similar to that of Join Avenue back in Black 2 & White 2; however, there are over 100 different levels a player can obtain in Festival Plaza.
