Battle Effect Items

Like all previous Pokemon Games, a player can find and obtain various Battle Effect items during their journey throughout The Alola Region. These are items that can only be used during a battle, often raising the stat of your given Pokemon currently on the battlefield. This time around, a new Rotom Power has been added to the list of these type of items.

Battle Effect Items & Locations
Dire Hit: An item that raises the critical-hit ratio greatly. It can be used only once and wears off if the Pokémon is withdrawn.
Locations: Route 2, Route 4, Route 5, Route 8, Route 17, Konikoni City, Hau'oli City, Paniola Town, Tapu Village, Festival Plaza

Guard Spec: An item that prevents stat reduction among the Trainer’s party Pokémon for five turns after it is used in battle.
Locations: Route 2, Route 5, Route 8, Route 13, Aether Paradise, Hau'oli City, Konikoni City, Poni Gauntlet, Tapu Village, Festival Plaza

Roto Boost: One of the Rotom Powers. It raises all stats of your battling Pokémon.
Locations: Roto Loto

X Accuracy: An item that sharply boosts the accuracy of a Pokémon during a battle. It wears off once the Pokémon is withdrawn.
Locations: Route 2, Route 5, Route 8, Route 9, Hau'oli City, Konikoni City, Tapu Village, Festival Plaza

X Attack: An item that sharply boosts the Attack stat of a Pokémon during a battle. It wears off once the Pokémon is withdrawn.
Locations: Route 2, Route 5, Route 8, Route 12, Diglett Tunnel, Hau'oli City, Konikoni City, Tapu Village, Ten Carat Hill, Vast Poni Canyon, Festival Plaza, Team Rainbow Rocket Castle

X Defense: An item that sharply boosts the Defense stat of a Pokémon during a battle. It wears off once the Pokémon is withdrawn.
Locations: Route 2, Route 5, Route 8, Hau'oli City, Konikoni City, Lush Jungle, Paniola Ranch, Poni Plains, Tapu Village, Vast Poni Canyon, Verdant Cavern, Festival Plaza

X Sp. Atk: An item that sharply boosts the Sp. Atk stat of a Pokémon during a battle. It wears off once the Pokémon is withdrawn.

X Sp. Def: An item that sharply boosts the Sp. Def stat of a Pokémon during a battle. It wears off once the Pokémon is withdrawn.

X Speed: An item that sharply boosts the Speed stat of a Pokémon during a battle. It wears off once the Pokémon is withdrawn.
