As in all Pokemon Games, a player can find various Evolutionary Items during their second journey through The Alola Region. There are twenty-seven different types of Evolutionary items you can find during your adventure, each one assisting you in evolving a certain species of Pokemon. By collecting all of the Evolution Items, you will have a better chance at completing your Pokedex.

Evolutionary Items & Locations

Dawn Stone: A peculiar stone that can make certain species of Pokémon evolve. It sparkles like a glittering eye.

Locations: Poké Pelago

Deep Sea Scale: An item to be held by Clamperl. This scale shines with a faint pink and raises the holder’s Sp. Def stat.

Locations: Konikoni City, Battle Tree

Wild Hold Items: Chinchou, Lanturn, Gorebyss, Relicanth

Deep Sea Tooth: An item to be held by Clamperl. This fang gleams a sharp silver and raises the holder’s Sp. Atk stat.

Locations: Konikoni City, Battle Tree

Wild Hold Items: Carvanha, Sharpedo, Huntail, Basculin

Dragon Scale: A very tough and inflexible scale. Dragon-type Pokémon may be holding this item when caught.

Locations: Malie City, Battle Tree

Wild Hold Items: Dratini, Dragonair, Dragonite

Dubious Disc: A transparent device overflowing with dubious data. Its producer is unknown.

Locations: Aether Paradise, Battle Tree

Dusk Stone: A peculiar stone that can make certain species of Pokémon evolve. It holds shadows as dark as can be.

Locations: Poni Wilds, Poké Pelago, Malie City

Electirizer: A box packed with a tremendous amount of electric energy. It’s loved by a certain Pokémon.

Locations: Seafolk Village, Battle Tree

Wild Hold Items: Electabuzz, Elekid

Fire Stone: A peculiar stone that can make certain species of Pokémon evolve. The stone has a fiery orange heart.

Locations: Diglett's Tunnel, Poké Pelago, Konikoni City

Ice Stone: A peculiar stone that can make certain species of Pokémon evolve. It has an unmistakable snowflake pattern.

Locations: Po Town, Poké Pelago

King's Rock: An item to be held by a Pokémon. When the holder successfully inflicts damage, the target may also flinch.

Locations: Route 1, Battle Tree, Fishing Items

Wild Hold Items: Poliwhirl, Poliwrath, Slowbro, Politoed, Slowking, Hariyama, Hawlucha

Leaf Stone: A peculiar stone that can make certain species of Pokémon evolve. It has an unmistakable leaf pattern.

Locations: Poké Pelago, Konikoni City

Magmarizer: A box packed with a tremendous amount of magma energy. It’s loved by a certain Pokémon.

Locations: Seafolk Village, Battle Tree

Wild Hold Items: Magmar, Magby

Metal Coat: An item to be held by a Pokémon. It’s a special metallic film that can boost the power of Steel-type moves.

Locations: Poni Gauntlet

Wild Hold Items: Magnemite, Skarmory, Beldum

Moon Stone: A peculiar stone that can make certain species of Pokémon evolve. It is as black as the night sky.

Locations: Route 13, Poké Pelago

Wild Hold Items: Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Cleffa

Oval Stone: A peculiar stone that can make certain species of Pokémon evolve. It’s as round as a Pokémon Egg.

Locations: Poké Pelago

Wild Hold Items: Happiny

Prism Scale: A mysterious scale that causes a certain Pokémon to evolve. It shines in rainbow colors.

Locations: Kala'e Bay, Fishing Items

Protector: A protective item of some sort. It is extremely stiff and heavy. It’s loved by a certain Pokémon.

Locations: Paniola Town, Battle Tree

Razor Claw: An item to be held by a Pokémon. This sharply hooked claw increases the holder’s critical-hit ratio.

Locations: Tapu Village

Wild Hold Items: Jangmo-o, Hakamo-o, Kommo-o

Razor Fang: An item to be held by a Pokémon. When the holder successfully inflicts damage, the target may also flinch.

Wild Hold Items: Bruxish

Reaper Cloth: A cloth imbued with horrifyingly strong spiritual energy. It’s loved by a certain Pokémon.

Locations: Malie City, Battle Tree

Sachet: A sachet filled with fragrant perfumes that are just slightly too overwhelming. Yet it’s loved by a certain Pokémon.

Locations: Konikoni City, Battle Tree

Shiny Stone: A peculiar stone that can make certain species of Pokémon evolve. It shines with a dazzling light.

Locations: Ancient Poni Path, Poké Pelago, Malie City

Sun Stone: A peculiar stone that can make certain species of Pokémon evolve. It burns as red as the evening sun.

Locations: Blush Mountain, Haina Desert, Poké Pelago

Thunderstone: A peculiar stone that can make certain species of Pokémon evolve. It has a distinct thunderbolt pattern.

Locations: Route 9, Ultra Plant, Poke Pelago, Konikoni City

Up-Grade: A transparent device somehow filled with all sorts of data. It was produced by Silph Co.

Locations: Aether House, Battle Tree

Water Stone: A peculiar stone that can make certain species of Pokémon evolve. It is the blue of a pool of clear water.

Locations: Route 8, Poké Pelago, Konikoni City

Whipped Dream: A soft and sweet treat made of fluffy, puffy, whipped, and whirled cream. It’s loved by a certain Pokémon.

Locations: Konikoni City, Battle Tree
