Act II - Part I: The Outpost

With the path clear to the east, all that remains is for us to clear away all of the outstanding items from our to-do list, which includes the following:

1. Reveal all locations;
2. Collect all Loot Chests;
3. Collect all Masks;
4. Collect all Propaganda Posters;
5. Drive every vehicle type found here (including boats);
6. Clear away all of the quests and tasks.

A quick look at the map reveals that there is a location with icons to the south of the lake - so that is our first destination!

Locations Discovered
The following locations remained to be discovered...

-- Samapana Falls (Here there be Honey Badgers!)
-- Kyra's Guidance (Temple)

With all of the outstanding tasks now managed, we head to the Outpost to take care of what is on offer there - which naturally enough begins with the woman inside the Safe House and her Rescue the Hostages Mission!

A Hostage Rescue Operation...


Hostage Rescue
A small farm has been attacked. The Royal Army are looting the place and holding the residents hostage. Go there, kill the guards, and rescue the hostages. The hostages will be executed if you are seen, so stay hidden...

Rewards: $22,500 and 400 XP.

You can make this a lot harder than it has to be just by being careless - the best approach is to sneak up and using sound-suppressed weapons to take out the guards. Try to keep all four hostages alive if possible too :)

With the hostages rescued, head back to the Outpost to flag the Golden Path Mission there....

Balance of Power Mission
The opening CS reveals some of the details behind the differences between Sabal and Amita - the young woman member of the Path tries to tell you about the conflict that exists between the two rulers of the Path.

This woman has a lot of faith in you - and believes that you are an important third person to serve as a leader of the Path - that you could be the person to break the stalemates that seem to constantly create difficulty between the two.

Sabal wants to deal death, Amita wants to gather intel... What do YOU want?

You start by going to both of them and listening to their proposals and then deciding which one you want to support. Really in the end which you support will not make much difference since both have different hopes for the future but neither will be good.

1. Amita: Hunt or Be Hunted
She wants you to collect the Intel at the nearby Golden Path Camp.

2. Sabal: Rebel Yell
He wants you to protect the Rebels at the nearby Golden Path Camp.

Since Sabal's mission is the title of a Billy Idol song, we went with that one :)

The quickest way to get there is the Buzzer - an autogyro that is parked near the Outpost. Grab that and fly baby!

Once you arrive you are charged with defending the camp - specifically from the SpecOps Hunter enemy - who can be a bit of a challenge. Mining the area and setting up C4 charges to use as a perimeter defense is a good tactic.

If you opt to use the C4 and you are good about using it on groups you can easily unlock the Achievement Quad Kill (20G) Kill 4 enemies simultaneously with a single explosion (Campaign).

The Rebels will try to help you in defending the camp but the brunt of the killing are yours to do.

Once you have defended the base (the Bravo Camp) head to the Alpha Camp and clear it.

After you complete clearing the second camp be sure to loot and to skin any of the Animals that got killed. Collect the Loot Chests too...

Be aware that there are Rhinos, Bears, and Leopards in the vicinity of the second camp...

An Introduction to Hurk!


Meet Hurk
Select the mission icon for Hurk at the Outpost and you will be introduced to Hurk, one of the only returning characters. During the CS you have a conversation with Hurk - who is something of a piece of work...

He explains the Guns for Hire system - which you can purchase Tokens for - and once he is done (assuming any of that made sense) he rolls off and you are no worse off than you were before and you now know how to use Guns for Hire!
