What Atom Requires

• Help the Children of Atom.
• (Optional) Show the Icon to the High Confessor
• (Optional) Assist the Grand Zealot (talk to Richter to start the quest “The Heretic”)
• (Optional) Help Sister Mai (pick up the note in the decontamination arc then talk to Sister Mai to start the quest “Ablutions”)
• (Optional) Help Zealot Ware (talk to Zealot Ware to start the quest “The Trial of Brother Devin”)

Head inside, head to the decontamination arc and pick up the note near the button. The arc isn't functioning and picking up the note will add a new objective to the “What Atom Requires” checklist quest. Once you completed the other quests, talk to the High Confessor, who is residing inside the nuclear sub.

You can explore the sub and loot the items inside. However, there are no notable loot or items, except the radium rifle inside one of the rooms in the lower chambers. Talk to the High Confessor and he’ll answer some of your questions.

After the conversation, talk to Tektus again to show the mother idol. You can also tell him that you’ll like to help the family. Agree to help and you’ll receive the High Confessor’s note. This will start the quest “Witch Hunt”. After completing Witch Hunt, the quest will finally be complete.
