Last Updated:

When a game has the complexity of Dying Light there is no way to really take in all that it has to offer in a single play-through. In fact it takes a lot of effort and exposure to learn most of what there is to learn let alone all of it.

It is largely for that reason - and to help get through the tough and confusing bits - that gamers like to find a good Walkthrough Guide to use as a companion to their game play. That is also the primary motivation for our creating this - to answer questions you don't even know you need to ask!

An Easter Egg Weapon in the form of a Dev Weapon called the Korek Machete that is found in an unlikely and very difficult to reach spot stored inside a box seemingly impossible to open that is concealed behind crates as if it were not meant to be found by anybody who did not already know it was there!

With that in mind we have created this Reference Section - a place for all of the details to be presented and enjoyed. Please bear in mind that while none of this is really required reading for a typical romp through the action-adventure survival-horror game that you are playing, the casual player will find that having access to it adds to their fun, while the serious fan of the game will find it to be an invaluable archive of facts and tactics.

In other words its existence is win-win no matter what class of player you are.

What you will find below this in the guide are the following information resources:

The best way to make use of the information that is presented here is to use it as a companion guide to your game play. That is to say rather than reading it all in advance, you instead dip in and out, as needed, and as your game play develops, so that you avoid being told in advance facts and experiences you will discover on your own as you play the game.

We have tried very hard to write this content in such a way so that it does not overtly spoil the game play experience and the pleasures that come from discovery because, with all games in these genres, that is a major part of the entertainment and fun!
