Most likely you should create an Orc warrior just like the one you created in Oblivion, since the fighting system is basically the same.
But if you want to stick with your Nord warrior, then increase your skills by fighting the mudcrabs in the beginning. They are so weak, that you can use them to increase stats like Light/Medium/Heavy Armor, Block, Spear, etc.
There is also a key in the captain's office, which you can use to break into the warehouse and steal Imperial armor.
And there is also a Ring of Healing somewhere in town, which becomes more helpful as your Enchantment skill increases.

What I did is I found a diamond mine near caldera. When you go outside caldera a lady will be there. She will ask you to find her jewels for her. She will say a bandit took them ask around town for where the bandit is theyll say west over the mountains. Or east but when you find the cave where the bandit is just head down the path near it and there will be a diamond mine if you look hard enough. Then you can steal the diamonds sell them then buy some training
