Okay, well to get a good stock of Ebony (around 67 for me, which weighed 10lbs for each one) is the lost mine near Balmora. First you leave Balmora from the wide where the Silt Strider is. Then stay on the left side of the river.

When you reach the bridge that crosses the river, go across it.The lost mine will be over a tiny hill a bit to the right of you. After you get all the ebony you want, go to St. Olms plaza and enter the haunted manor, which is not really haunted, and open the lock level 50 door. Go to the man that has a guard watching him that says ''I'm not bieng paid to answer questions" or something like that. Talk to him about the mine and he'll give you a choice of any DAEDRIC weapon that is increadibly strong!
Hope it helps!

I've heard the talking mudcrab is on some island near Mzahnch (east of Vivec).

Look on the map that came with the game.

I think it's the island right under the second H in Mzahnch.

I'm not sure since I've never actually bothered going there.

Sorry.

There is a city called Ebon heart does Ebon......y ring a bell. Any way one of the missions you get from the fighters guild in balomora you have to go there , when there search the perimeter and you,ll find a mine in the mine check the walls for ebony don't mind the guards they won't come after you if you take some.

Note ebony is very heavy.

Well you can travel to balmora on the silt strider, leave the town the same way the silt strider is and you'll soon meet a bridge, cross it. Keep going away from balmora for about thirty feet and you will see a cave with a door to you left. It's the lost mining ebony mine of something or other. There is around three hundred pounds of RAW EBONY!!!!!!!!!!! So plan on going back and forth to a drop spot and the mining cave. oh yeah, there's only one monster in the cave and if memory serves well then it's womewhat strong.
