Special Attacks

Pocket (Neutral Special)
Pocket (Neutral Special)

This move allows you to keep items or projectiles so you can use them later in the battle. Press the button again to take out the item and use it again.

Lloid Rocket (Side Special)
Lloid Rocket (Side Special)

The Villager fires off a Lloid Rocket horizontally. If you keep holding on the button, the villager will be able to ride the Lloid until it flies off completely or it hits the target. You can't fire another Lloid rocket while there's an active one. Riding the Lloid until it hits the target also deals additional damage. Furthermore, you can make the Lloid rocket go faster by pressing the Up or Down to slow down.

Balloon Trip (Up Special)
Balloon Trip (Up Special)

This move doesn't have any offensive nature; it will just equip the villager with a balloon cap that can him/her up to great heights. Pressing the button again will make the balloon go higher. The balloons can be popped by opponents' attacks.

Timber (Down Special)
Timber (Down Special)

This move has three parts. First, the Villager will plant a sapling. Use the command again to water the sapling and turn it to a fully-grown tree. Using the same command again will equip the Vilager an axe that he can use to chop the tree down. While the tree is planted, you can use the axe to directly attack opponents. Planted trees will wither automatically after a few seconds. If you chop the tree, the falling timber can hit opponents and deal high damage.

Air Attacks

Final Smash

Dream Home

The villager calls in Tom Nook and two other Nook personnel to quickly build a house and trap any opponent within range. Trapped opponents suffer damage while the house is being built. Once the house is complete, it will explode, launching anyone trapped inside while dealing damage at the same time.

Recovery

The villager's UP Special is his main vertical recovery move since it has no other offensive purpose but to lift the Villager up in the air. While this move can reach good height, the balloons can be popped when attacked so the Villager needs to find safe ground as quick as possible. For horizontal recovery, the Lloid rocket is very reliable since it covers a good distance.

Gameplay

The villager is a small but average character that can annoy and deal decent damage due to his/her great array of items that he can in battle. His movement speed is quite fast as well so you can quickly get to his sprinting speed in a second. Since most of attacks use items, the Villager has good reach. Pocket is a special move that allows the villager to “capture” projectiles with proper timing and throw them back whenever he pleases. His Lloid Rocket delivers potent damage on its own but if the Villager is riding it when it hits its target, the damage is increased. The Lloid rocket is fire-and-forget; once you used it, you can let it fly on its own on a straight line while you're doing something else. Since you can take advantage of this while in the air, the Lloid rocket is also a good deterrent against opponents trying to get back to the stage. This move doesn't leave you in fall state so you can harass opponents thrown off stage while having the ability to use Up Special to go back to the stage.

Timber is an interesting move but can be quite annoying to use for some people.

Finally, the Villager's Smash attacks have limited range so you'll probably rely on his ranged attacks to stack up damage instead of relying on the higher damage dealt by smash attacks.
