This little boxer from the Punch-Out!! series makes up in heart what he lacks in height. He wasn't afraid to take on the boxing champs, and he's not afraid of the Nintendo stars. In Smash Bros., he packs a serious punch. When his KO Meter fills up, wade in and trigger a devastating uppercut.

Jolt Haymaker (Side Special)

Little Mac leaps forward before landing a heavy, downward hook. This move covers a lot of ground and can quickly close the distance. However, you need to gauge the range to the target; otherwise, Little Mac will pass by and miss the target. This move has good damage and launching power.

Final Smash

Giga Mac

Little Mac transforms into the gigantic Giga Mac. In this form, he has access to most of his ordinary moves but all of them deal increased damage and range, thanks to his size. He can't also be flinched when attacking, making him quite unstoppable while in this form. Opponents who dare attack him while in this form can be easily countered and pummeled by Giga Mac's powerful attacks.

Recovery

Little Mac can cover a lot of ground while in mid-air using his Jolt Haymaker move. However, this will leave him in a fall state so make sure you gauge the distance where his swing will land. His Rising Uppercut is his only vertical recovery maneuver. Though this gives Little Mac a good vertical height recovery, he can't control the angle of the jump so make sure you're directly below the stage's edge before using this. Otherwise, you'll be in a fall state and self-destruct.

Gameplay

Little Mac is a very fast, ground-based character. His punches are quick and powerful. Combined by his agility and mobility, Little Mac's punches have good reach and range. One interesting unique ability of Little Mac is his KO Punch. In his portrait on the lower screen, you'll find a gauge that slowly fills up when LM is dealing and receiving damage. Once it is full, a blinking “KO” will appear in place of the meter. Press your Neutral Special to deliver a full-powered, devastating punch.

His Jolt Haymaker special needs further adjustment and practice before you can use it effectively. It has a ridiculous range and when combined with Little Mac's speed and acceleration, it's quite easy to go over the edge and fall to self-destruction. However, if it connects, this move is capable of launching enemies afar. His Straight Lunge packs a lot of power when fully charged, not to mention it covers large ground as well.

Don't force him in aerial combat as his aerial attacks are weak. He can't also use his speed and range while airborne. His Rising Uppercut is a good, multi-hit attack that has good vertical range, allowing Little Mac to reach even those high above him.
