This Normal/Fairy-type Pokémon is best known for its soothing singing, which can put foes to sleep. In Smash Bros., it fights best in the air and can even jump six times in a row. The downside, though, is that Jigglypuff's so light, most opponents could launch it in their sleep!

Recovery

Don't use the UP SPECIAL. That's something you need to adjust to when you're playing Jigglypuff for the first few times. Most Smash characters can recover using their Up Special moves but Jigglypuff is different; triggering Sing while in mid-air will make you self-destruct by plummeting down helplessly. It can jump up to six times and because of its light weight, it can cover great distances by floating in the air using long interval jumps. While horizontal recovery is absolutely no problem, the height of Jigglypuff's jumps is quite limited so don't wait to fall to low off stage or you won't have enough jumps to reach the safety of the ledge.

Gameplay

Jigglypuff is the lightest character in the game. While it has superior maneuverability in the air, expect Jigglypuff to be launched easily, even with other characters' weak or medium attacks. Another limitation is Jigglypuff's very short range, due to its almost non-existent limbs. Jigglypuff's air mobility can be used to harass off-stage enemies that are trying to recover in mid-air. It's high number of jumps and light weight allows it to cover more distance and stay in the air longer. Rollout is very powerful when fully charged but like similar moves, it can cause you to fly offstage.

Sing is limited to put ground enemies to sleep for a few seconds but with proper timing, it's a very good way to land a fully charged Smash attack while your opponent is helplessly dozing off. Rest requires perfect timing since it will only be triggered upon contact. It's powerful vertical damage and launch potential and the lingering DOT (Damage-over-time) effect is a great tradeoff should you pull off this risky move. Missing the hit opportunity with Rest will leave Jigglypuff vulnerable while napping for a good three seconds.
