Mega Man will create fire pillars on both sides.

Special Attacks

Metal Blade (Neutral Special)
Metal Blade (Neutral Special)

Mega Man throws a spinning metal blade towards the enemy. It has good range but can only deal low damage.

Crash Bomber (Side Special)
Crash Bomber (Side Special)

Mega Man fires a explosive-delay projectile that sticks to opponents. This bomb will explode a few seconds after it makes contact. Mega Man can't fire another until the first one explodes. Additionally, the opponent where the bomb is planted can transfer the bomb before it explodes by simply bumping it off to other players, including Mega Man. The explosion has a small blast radius but can still damage anyone caught within it, including Mega Man.

Rush Coil (Up Special)
Rush Coil (Up Special)

Mega Man summons his trusty robot dog, Rush, and use him as a trampoline for a quick jump boost. Rush will stay until Mega Man jumps on him the second time. While Rush is present, opponents can also use him to boost their jump. You can't do the second jump while in mid-air since poor Rush will just fall down.

Leaf Shield (Down Special)

Mega Man deploys a rotating shield made of leaves. The leaves damage any enemy it comes contact with. Pressing the Special button again allows Mega Man to throw the leaves to his opponents. The thrown Leaf Shield doesn't do that much damage but it has good pushing force that's good for edge-guarding.

Air Attacks

Final Smash

Mega Legends
Mega Legends

Mega Man deploys a large black hole that sucks any opponents inside. In that space, Mega Man will join with other Mega Legends and fire their buster rifles together for one solid damage.

Recovery

Rush: Why did you betray me master?
Rush: Why did you betray me master?

Mega Man lacks horizontal recovery so you have to rely on your double-jump to cover the distance. Rush Coil is his primary vertical recovery move. The first jump has good height but the second jump will boost him even further. Unfortunately, Mega Man can't do the second jump if he uses this move in mid-air since Rush will just fall down. While this move gives Mega Man the necessary jump boost, take note that while Rush is on the stage, other players can use him to boost their jumps as well.

Gameplay

Mega Man lacks effective close-quarters combat capability but he excels in harassing enemies using his wide selection of long-range moves. His basic neutral and side attacks doesn't deal that much damage so he needs to rely mostly on his Smash and special moves. His Side Smash is particularly powerful, especially when fully charged. His Up Smash can also grapple annoying enemies who loves to jump over his small stature.

His dash attack can hit an enemy multiple times and push them outwards. From there, he can follow up with his other ranged attacks. Crash Bomber is a good harassment move as enemies won't usually notice that they've been hit with a bomb until it explodes. Since it has a small blast radius, enemies standing next to each other will take damage. His Leaf Shield doesn't last long but it does a good job in protecting Mega Man from projectile attacks and damage opponents in melee range.
