Wind Chill Cavern

Walkthrough: As you enter Wind Chill Cavern, look behind you for a glowing patch of snow with a certain treasure inside. Back on the main path, a large Ty-Foo will blow up ahead. It will blow outward in a circle, hoping to knock Mario off into poisonous goop. However, you can easily knock off his hat, capturing the Ty-Foo with the use of Cappy. Capturing the Ty-foo will allow Mario to disable it from blowing its fierce winds, as well as knocking the Spinies off the path. After you do, continue onward.

The next area will contain two Ty-Foos blowing bricks back and forth at each other. Capture them to stop this from happening, allowing you to quickly get across and disable the following Ty-Foo. Use this Ty-Foo to blow another block backward to create a new path forward. The back of the block you just pushed can be used as stairs, ones you can climb and then perform a Cap Jump to reach the archway. Ground-pound to obtain an additional Power Moon.

Moving forward down the path you created will bring you to another Ty-Foo, one blocking your way. Do as before and knock off his hat so you can capture him, using him to blow off all the Spinies on the platform that lies ahead. This will trigger the main Power Moon to appear, and grabbing it will bring down the next barrier around race track. You can also obtain more Purple Coins by using the Ty-Foo to float around the poisonous goop. After you have obtained the main Power Moon, return to the main hall in Shiveria Town and take the path on the top left toward Snowy Mountain.
