Walkthrough: After fixing the Power Plant of the Piranha Plant infestation, the New Donk City Festival will begin. The city will be transformed into giant party, with giant 8-bit murals being erected all across the city. Head down from your Odyssey Airship, and enter the pipe to head into the mural. As you enter, you will have to get across levels with the Donkey Kong-inspired rolling barrels. Easily dodge the barrels, and then round the corner to continue to the next screen. After you do, you will have to move along a train of barrels in order to collect Coins under the platform, as well as through the question blocks.
Once in the following area, run up the left wall to go into a unique location that defies logic. This mural will have Mario running upside down, dodging barrels falling from below into a fire pits above as he does. Once you reach the middle platform, jump above the question blocks, continuing to jump until you find more hidden blocks. Climb up from there to find a hidden Warp Pipe, one that will bring you to a Power Moon. After obtaining it, head through the connecting area and run through the Coins before falling up a skyscraper. From there, move right and left to get more coins before heading to the final area of the mural.
In the final area, players will get to relieve the magic of the original Donkey Kong by dodging tumbling barrels with Mario in order to reach the top. Make your way to the top of the screen, reaching the area just below the 8-bit version of Donkey Kong. Hit all the blocks from under him to knock him out, and then take the Warp Pipe back to New Donk City. Pauline will be waiting there for you, and with a Multi Moon no less. That will conclude your time in Metro Kingdom. Explore the city a little more and collect any remaining Power Moons you need in order to leave. After you do, you will have the choice of going to either Snow Kingdom or Seaside Kingdom. Since Snow Kingdom is the smaller of the two, it's recommended to go there first.
