Walkthrough: As the battle begins, Knucklotec's head will summon two fists to constantly circle around and attack you. As you run around with Mario, there will be a number of ice patches on the ground. If you are able to get Knucklotec to hit one of his hands against the ice, Knucklotec with become stunned. While in a stunned state, use Cappy to capture and control one of Knucklotec's fists. After gaining control, throw the fist directly at Knucklotec's face. Once you do, he'll summon more ice blocks with his other hand in hopes of slowing you down. Quickly get around them and throw another punch at his face, or you'll run out of time.

As you hit him in the face a second time, he'll begin to hover the area. As he does, he'll send both fists rocketing at Mario. They have to travel a bit of a ways to reach you, so dodge them while you can by running to the side. When his face finally returns to the center, he send both of the fists to the ground, causing all the more ice to fall from above. Dodge all the pieces of falling ice by using the shadow each of them has.

After this, he'll repeat the process again. So do as before, capturing his fists with Cappy and sending them back at this face. However, instead of slamming his fists into the ground to cause ice to fall from above like last time, Knucklotec will actually bring his hands on both sides of Mario in hopes of catching him at the end of this phase. The second they start coming for Mario, long jump or dash to avoid being grabbed. He'll do this several times, so get ready to dodge him this same way over and over again. After this phase is over, get one last shot at his face to defeat Knucklotec. You will receive another Multi Moon after you do.

Once Knucklotec is defeated, the desert will return to its normal temperature and all the ice will begin to melt. This will open up a number a new places to explore with Mario, including the cave below the pyramid and the newly-placed slingshot to reach Inverted Pyramid again. Apart from that, your objectives in Sand Kingdom are now complete. You might find yourself still needing a few Power Moons before proceeding, so start exploring to obtain what you need.

You will need 16 Power Moons to leave Sand Kingdom, but since you already obtained a few Multi Moons and there are 69 Power Moons available during the Main Story in Sand Kingdom, that shouldn't be too hard. After you do, you will have the option to go to either Lake Kingdom or Wooded Kingdom. Lake Kingdom is the smaller of the two, so it's recommended to get it finished first and then head to the massive Wooded Kingdom.
