Kingdoms

During his adventure, Mario will travel between and through all the different Kingdoms in his world. Each and every Kingdom serves as a different place for Mario to explore, and each varies from one to the next. These locations are also each centered around a given theme. No matter what the Kingdom is, these regions are vastly different than anything Mario has ever seen in his previous adventures.

During the Main Story, Mario will travel through fourteen different Kingdoms. Within these Kingdoms, Mario will have specific objectives he must complete before moving onto the next. Mario will even need to find a specific number of Power Moons in each Kingdom before being able to leave. After the Main Story, a player can unlock three additional Kingdoms/Stages to explore.

The 17 Kingdoms found within the game are as followed: Cap Kingdom, Cascade Kingdom, Sand Kingdom, Lake Kingdom, Wooded Kingdom, Cloud Kingdom, Lost Kingdom, Metro Kingdom, Snow Kingdom, Seaside Kingdom, Luncheon Kingdom, Ruined Kingdom, Bowser's Kingdom, Moon Kingdom, The Dark Side, and The Darker Side.
