Where to find Anayama

Important! 
Anayama is one of the few non-hostile NPCs in Hirata Estate. You can find him inside one of the walled houses with no enemies inside, past the Estate Path sculptor’s idol. Like other NPCs, attacking them without provocation will turn them permanently hostile and killing them will have permanent repercussions. If you kill Anayama in the past, of course you won’t encounter him in the present.

If you didn’t kill him in Hirata Estate, he will set up shop in the gate near the Ashina Outskirts, Outskirts Wall - Stairway idol. From the idol, turn around to find his shop in front of a closed gate, near the memory remnant.

If you talk to him, he’ll ask to lend him some coins to get his business going. In exchange, he’ll be giving you information about a new prosthetic tool. Give him 50 sen first then agree to purchase information from him for 100 sen. You’ll obtain the Flame Barrel Memo, a clue about the said shinobi tool. This is useful if you still haven’t acquired the Flame Barrel yet but if you already have it, he’ll give you two Oil jars instead. From hereon, just continue your exploration (or fast-travel to another location) and the next time you return to him, he’ll be selling you his wares, including the unique shinobi tool upgrade, Phantom Kunai.

Items for Sell

His items have limited stock so after buying them, they’ll remain sold out. Some merchants do sell new items as you progress further in the story. Some even restock important items such as Dragon's Blood Droplet. You can't sell items to Anayama. He's also selling a unique upgrade material called Phantom Kunai for 3000 sen.
