Merchant’s Location

This otherworldly merchant can be found inside his pot in a small island, near the waterfall along the river in the starting area of Hirata Estate. He exclusively accepts only Treasure Carp Scales for his wares.

Treasure Carps are giant fishes that you can see swimming in ponds, streams, or rivers. These fishes get scared easily so jumping on them from the shore, rock, or branch is recommended since spooking them will cause them to swim away. You can kill them instantly with one slash or thrust. If one runs away from you successfully, just wait for a few seconds and the carp will respawn, following its fixed swimming pattern. They are somewhat unique since once killed, they don’t respawn anymore. Please refer to this guide's dedicated section for the location of individual carp scales.

Items for Sell

Harunaga’s wares are unique since the required items for trading is also incredibly rare.
Item Stock Price
Divine Grass 1 1 scale
Withered Red Gourd 1 2 scales
Mask Fragment: Right 1 7 scales
Floating Passage Text 1 5 scales

Divine Grass: Completely heals HP and removes any negative status. This is extremely rare so use it only on extremely difficult fights.
Withered Red Gourd: A reusable item with five charges (refilled when you rest at a sculptor’s idol) that increases your Burn resistance and build-up. This item does not remove the Burn status.
Mask Fragment: Right - A part of a mask set. This should be the last one to get.
Floating Passage Text - Unlocks the combat art “Floating Passage”.
