Senpou Temple - EXP Farming Location

This is a good farming spot since each monk will drop 80+ EXP and there’s a lot of them on the way to the temple. They also give up chasing you easily especially when you break line of sight. Furthermore, they drop Ako’s and Ungo’s Sugars that temporarily boost your attack and defense respectively. When assassinating the monks, prioritize taking out the staff users first since they’re more dangerous. This is a bit longer since you’ll have do regular hit-and-run tactics to separate the staff users from the normal monks that you can easily deal with ordinary attacks.

Here’s the rundown of the farming method but feel free to apply your own strategy or enemy priority.

From the Senpou Temple, Mt. Kongo Sculptor’s Idol, head to the cliff and look down to the right. There’s a lone monk looking at the broken bridge. Backstab him then turn around and head straight.

There are two monks here, walking down the path. Sneak using the bushes on the right side then assassinate the second monk then finish off the other one down the path.

Return to the bushes and move to the side of the arch, where the first staff monk is standing. Assassinate him from the side.

From hereon, you’ll have to do the hit-and-run tactic. There are two groups of monks walking up and down the stairs. One group has one staff user, which path takes them near the cliff past the arch. The other group has two staff users, walking up the path leading to the temple. It’s easier to get rid one of the two staff users. Whatever you do, you’ll still aggro their companions anyway. So after assassinating one of the staff users, run back until they lose aggro, sneak back, and repeat.

Once you get rid of the six monks patrolling the lower stairs, move to the bushes to the right of the stairs to find two ordinary monks heading to the main stairs. Assassinate one of them then defeat the other using conventional combat methods.

From there, approach the temple to the right so you can approach the last two monks from the side. It’s safe to assassinate any of the two since the other monk won’t notice. This concludes the farming run so fast-travel to the idol and repeat.
