The difference between Legend Mode scenarios is that you're tied to a straightforward, story-based objective path. Adventure Mode scenarios only have one main mission and a small number of smaller, optional objectives. This section will help you understand the different types of scenarios available in Adventure Mode.
Adventure Battles
Adventure battles are like shortened versions of Legend Mode battles. You have to defeat the enemy Commander in order to complete the scenario. However, there's one main objective you need to complete before you get to fight the Commander.
Dungeon Battles
Dungeon battles are Adventure Battles with a twist; instead of an enemy Commander, you'll need to defeat a Giant Monster inside the dungeon. In order to access them, you have to find a Bos Key hidden somewhere in the battlefield. There are only nine of these in the game, each corresponding the dungeons in the original Legend of Zelda game. Almost every one of these dungeons also contain an Item Card needed for further progression in Adventure Mode, making them very important.
Quiz Battles
These scenarios will present questions that will test your knowledge with the franchise. To answer the question, you'll have to defeat the correct enemy.
Challenge Battles
These are distinguished scenarios were you have to complete "simple" yet challenging tasks to complete. Some requires you to defeat a certain number of enemies (or even Giant Monsters) within the time limit, avoid getting damaged, or complete a quiz. They're usually short but their difficulty curve can be steep for unprepared players.
