Concluding the Mini-Game

Last Updated:

While this game is technically a mini-game in every sense, the clever manner in which they packed in the added Challenges, several of which are by no stretch of the imagination quick or easy -- gives it the feel of a much larger and more intense game even though you basically start and finish in the same sitting location, without ever actually moving!

While playing the Sniper Challenge is fun in its own right, the vast majority of gamers will be putting in the massive amount of time and effort at both unlocking all of the Challenges as playing (and replaying a LOT) the Sniper Challenge with an eye towards eventually accumulating the massive amount of $50-Million (which is the amount that must be banked in order to unlock the final Unlock, which is the Magazine Well III weapon enhancement) since gaining all of the weapon enhancement Unlocks in Hitman: Absolution is really sort of the point!

Improving Your Score

As you will be focusing upon increasing your score where possible, it may help to familiarize yourself with the actions and points list below, which should assist you in deciding what strategies you will use for taking out each target:

Body Shot Explosion Kill Head Shot Hide Body Moving Head Shot Moving Shot
x1 = $1,000 x1 = $1,000 x1 = $1,500 x1 = $5,000 x1= $3,000 x1= $1,000
x2 = $1,000 x2 = $1,250 x2 = $2,000 x2 = $7500 x2= $6,000 x2= $2,000
x3 = $1,000 x3 = $1,500 x3 = $2,500 x3 = $10,000 x3= $9,000 x3= $3,000
x4 = $1,000 x4 = $1,750 x4 = $3,000 x4 = $12,500 x4= $12,000 x4= $4,000
x5 = $1,000 x5 = $2,000 x5 = $3,500 x5 = $15,000 x5= $15,000 x5= $5,000

The operative issue to bear in mind is that the multiplier is based upon repeated use of the different tactics spread over the entire session, and not sequentially, which is to say that executing a head shot and then firing something other than a head shot before executing another head shot does not reset the multiplier, which is a cumulative rather than sequential event.

Income and Point Based Upgrades

Just to remind you, the following game enhancements and items can be unlocked in Sniper Challenge, which then Unlocks them in Absolution, at the following banked reward money amounts:

  • Agency Kazo TRG (Unlocks @ 0 Points)

  • Silencer (Unlocks @ 0 Points)

  • Controlled Breathing I (Unlocks @ 10,000 Points)

  • Extended Clip I (Unlocks @ 300,000 Points)

  • Rapid Fire Bolt I (Unlocks @ 1,000,000 Points)

  • Magazine Well I (Unlocks @ 2,500,000 Points)

  • Controlled Breathing I (Unlocks @ 7,000,000 Points)

  • Extended Clip II (Unlocks @ 9,000,000 Points)

  • Rapid Fire Bolt II (Unlocks @ 12,000,000 Points)

  • Magazine Well II (Unlocks @ 15,000,000 Points)

  • Controlled Breathing III (Unlocks @ 20,000,000 Points)

  • Extended Clip III (Unlocks @ 30,000,000 Points)

  • Rapid Fire Bolt III (Unlocks @ 40,000,000 Points)

  • Magazine Well III (Unlocks @ 50,000,000 Points)

The way that this is supposed to work is that all that is required to add the unlocked items from Sniper Challenge to your Absolution game is to have your Sniper Challenge game save on the same Gamertag account AND console as your Hitman: Absolution game save.

That being said there are rumors spreading online that the unlock process may be bugged, with some of the items unlocked in Sniper Challenge not appearing in Absolution. Before you end up sending an email to Square or IO help and support you may want to double check the Hitman Contracts Mode in Hitman: Absolution, since the items you unlocked in Hitman: Sniper Challenge are ONLY available as part of and within the Hitman Contracts Mode - which is the online cooperative play system in which gamers create new custom Challenges in the form of "Contracts" missions that they then share with their mates, who play them with an eye towards beating the established time and score.

If you enter Contracts Mode in Absolution and discover that the items that you unlocked in Sniper Challenge are in fact not available, that is when you should start requesting help from Square / IO.

So in closing, well done mates! Good on ya! You go!
