Celestic Town
Rest at the Pokemon Center if necessary then proceed to the item shop. (It's the left-most house located north of town) Talk to the guy there to receive the BLACK GLASSES. Go back outside and into the house west of the Pokemon Center. Speak to the Black Belt guy. He'll then give you the ANALOG WATCH app for your Poketech. Talk to the guy inside the Pokemon Center for a GREAT BALL.
Back outside, go down the steps next to the Pokemon Center to the lower portion. Talk to the Galactic Grunt there and mess with him.

Go inside the cave and examine the pattern on the wall. Cynthia's granny will come to explain what it was, then give you the HM03 (Surf). Take the west exit to Route 211.

Pick the berries here if you like. There isn't much you can do here, except challenge some trainers. One of the people at the upper level will give you the TM77. Fly to Hearthome City and proceed to the gym.
Hearthome Gym
All you have to do here is answer 4 questions correctly to get to Fantina. You have to enter the door that corresponds to the right answer.
Question 01 : 3 5 7 is? Answer : 15 (Right door)
Question 02 : 12 28 is? Answer : 40 (Middle door)
Question 03 : 3 x 13 is? Answer : 39 (Left door)
Question 04 : The first room's answer is? Answer : 15 (Right door)

| This is one tough battle. Fantina uses Ghost-type |
| Pokemon so Normal and Ground type attacks are |
| won't work on them. Your best choice here is to use |
| Dark-type moves such as Bite and Crunch, with the |
| Black Glasses equipped. |

| The Drifloon is also weak to lightning, so using |
| moves like Thunderbolt will work. The Mismagius can |
| use Shadow Ball, a rather deadly Dark move. Confuse |
| Ray is a problem too. |

| The Gengar knows Spite and Poison Jab. The former |
| attack will reduce an ability's PP by 4 and the |
| latter one causes Poison. |

You'll receive the RELIC BADGE and TM65 (Shadow Claw) from Fantina afterwards. Cynthia will meet you outside the Gym and tells you to visit the library in Canalave City.

fantina pokemon are weak infernapes
i have completed the game but im going to start again with torterra staraptor luxray floatzel blissey and skuntank EPIC TEAM!!!
instead of doors its lifts that you go on
to battle Fantina you need to travel to Valor lakefront and meet the champion and she'll give you a secret potion wich you use on the psyducks on route 210 andd walk up the hills and get to celestic town and then fly down to hearthome city and Fantina will be there

Fantina is WAY to hard to beat.
I have the first 4 badges but i still cant battle fantina
fatina isnt there when you first travle to hearthome city. she is your 5th battle and will only be there if you have the first four gym badges. hope this is helpfull

Fantina is not inside and their are no doors inside the gym! What do I do?
