After the scene, you’ll be in this story’s final chapter. Takumi is located to the far south and has a replica. Unfortunately, his Bold Stance skill allows his replica to fight as a backup unit and not as a cover. This essentially makes him two enemies in a single body.
Your units can’t step on the dark water terrains on the side of the map but they do provide positive effects to the enemies on them. Finally, the dragon veins in the area will allow you to create barriers that can help blunt Takumi’s attack. Any allied unit not placed behind the barrier will suffer heavy damage when Takumi unleashes his attack. Unfortunately, this barrier’s location is fixed and it’s nowhere near Takumi’s location. Your objective in this mission is to defeat the boss.
Move your main force in the middle but be mindful of the enemy’s attack range. It’s okay to deliberately put your most powerful units within attack range to get the aggro and force the enemies to move towards your group. At the start of the second turn, the enemies on the alcoves to the west and east will move in and attempt to deliver a pincer attack to your group.
If you see Takumi charging up for an attack, activate a dragon vein to create a temporary barrier to blunt the attack. This charge attack deals a lot of damage so have your healers ready. At the end of Turn 4, enemy reinforcements will appear from the north. Don’t mind them for now so keep pushing through and effectively make a wall with your powerful vanguard units. Just remember to have someone with royal blood to raise the barriers when needed and stay behind it to avoid getting heavily damaged by Takumi’s attack.
More faceless will appear at the end of the 6th turn so be careful. Check their attack range and make sure to eliminate them if they’ll ever endanger your support units. If you’re within range, the lone grandmaster in the middle of the map will keep using silence to your spellcasters or healers.
When you’re near Takumi, make sure that you can release the brunt of your melee units to him since he’s unstoppable with ranged attacks. His Draconic Hex ability and Dragonskin doesn’t make it any easier to kill him. The best time to move against him is after he releases his charge attack. Your Avatar’s Shadow Yato will deal impressive damage to Takumi, even has the chance to take him out instantly if it Crit’ed. You don’t need to defeat both the original and the replica Takumi; just defeat the only one and the mission will be a success.
Congratulations for finishing the Conquest route!
