Xander will join you in this battle. The sorcerer to the west carries a Master Seal while the Hero to the east has a Heart Seal. You can divide your forces to two. Your army have strong mounted soldiers with Gunther and Xander’s addition to the group. There are also four allied soldiers that you need to speak to in order to find the enemy leader. Any of your characters can check these allied soldiers. The war chest you’re protecting has 10,000 gold. A portion of it will be stolen every turn until you find the leader. Since that’s the case, mobility will be the case of this battle.
Divide your forces into two main groups; half of them going to the west and the other half going east. Avoid pairing too many characters at the moment. Your strong independent characters such as Xander and avatar can tackle most of the small fries alone. While this plan takes fast completion into consideration, it’s also risky. If you’re playing on Classic mode, you probably need to considerably take several turns in order to protect your characters and prevent them from dying unnecessarily. Most of the enemies are also ranged attackers which can put some of your characters in danger if they have the initiative. Know the strength of your army and adjust their positioning based on their defensive and offensive capabilities.
The adventurers on the eastern side of the boat can annoy you by casting Silence and Freeze from a long range. They can also defend themselves with a bow so engaging them in melee Combat will be the best option.
The real boss is located to the eastern side, behind a line of boxes. (Not confirmed yet if this position is randomized on different saved games) After revealing his identity, defeat the boss and end the mission. The amount of money left in your war chest is what you'll get as reward for completing this mission.
During the chapter's ending scenes as well, you’ll have the option to kill Shura or not. If you kill him, you’ll get a Boots as reward. Sparing him will add him up as a loyal new member of your army.
