Main Quest - Party of Three

Well, you won't be seeing Gladiolus for a while but you can go ahead and do sidequests if you'd like. Although personally, I decided to put most of it off until the next chapter. That said, take your car and drive to the destination. Prompto may ask to stop to take photos of certain locations so make sure you let him, as it adds to your sidequest count. As for enemies, there could be low level imperial troops of the human variety and some mechs, which you can take down quite easily at this point.

Once you get to Steyliff Grove, you'll find Ardyn waiting for you at the entrance. Also make sure to grab the freebies (Shattered Timepiece and Ether) from the nearby treasure spots before talking to him. Follow him to where Aranea is to have her join the party. Upon entering the dungeon proper, take a left when you can past the main room and into the smaller one to find a Chrome Bit on the floor. Now looking at the map, go back south, taking a left at the hallway to reach another room to the south. In this area is a door that can be opened to proceed. Collect the Rusted Bit before continuing north along the hallway. There's a Magic Flask off to the side for you to grab after killing some flans and skeletons as well. Shimmy across the ledge at the end of the corridor and go downstairs to the next area.

Here, keep moving forward and grab the item on the ground after dealing with a group of skeletons. Proceed one more floor down and you'll reach the next big area. You can drop off to the lower level in this section and explore if you like. Otherwise just stay on the second level and trace your steps to the destination marker. An Iron Giant then stops the party as you approach the goal, dropping you to the lower area where you must defeat it to continue. With the Iron Giant gone, the broken bridge above you should then rebuild itself, so you can make your way back up there toward the next set of stairs leading down to a new area.

It's pretty straightforward from here as you continue to move toward the quest marker. Take the time to peek into the small rooms on this floor in case there are freebies lying around. Going down to the lowest level of the dungeon, make use of the energy deposits if necessary before walking up to the center of the room.

The Quetzalcoatl has a very powerful lightning AOE attack that covers most of the area in front of it. Although it's dangerous only if catches you on the ground. So pick a weapon the monster is susceptible to and focus on using warp strike combos while the creature is airborne. The lightning attack is very difficult to avoid on the ground unless you're a good distance away, so try to stay in the air as much as possible. In terms of techniques, you'll want to stick with whatever Prompto has since he has the best range. Use Armiger when available and have plenty of curatives on hand in case the lightning attack hits you.

Once the boss is dead, go harvest some ingredients from the flower patch before picking up the Mythril Ore. Return to the entrance of the dungeon where Aranea soon leaves the party, but not before offering to give you a lift back to Lestallum. Accept to complete this chapter.
