The scarab gun thing in Metropolis doesn't work because when I get in the tunnel (I keep shooting at it) the banshee keeps going outside or it blows up.

You have to hijack it when your at the Checkpoint and loading part and the beginning of the last small tunnel.

Yea you just got to hijack it as soon as it gets into the circle tunnel. Just don't hijack it before or it will explode or trying after the loading or it will dissapear.
