A mod stands for moderator.. A moderator is like the boss or owner and has power to change things

The last guy had the right word, but I don't think you wanted to know THAT word. A MOD is also short for Modified. So, when you say you modded something, you mean you modified it. Like in halo 2. You modded or modified a map. There you go.

da chief answered:

pokeperson answered:

Mod on the internet-Moderator-power to change things.

sid140 answered:

I think he's not talking about any of that stuff. He's probably talkking about a mod CHIP. You can go to llamma.com and find mod chips there, or any other parts for consoles.

Morrowind Nerd answered:

MOD: Modification that might crash your xbox. But he might need to explain what he means he might not mean modifaction probaly some other mod.

Forgoten_Scars answered:

That's short for a modifier. You use these to change aspects of the game. They're generally only used on PC games, since console games are a bit harder to mod. If you have a PC version of this, you can search up almost any mod you want through Google. A lot have been made, so if it's sensible, you'll probably find it.
