Zombie defense offers quite the same thrill you get from similar games on this genre of strategy games – especially when you try to survive every wave of enemies. But this is where the much of the similarity stops. The great thing about it is that it didn’t limit itself to the basic make-up of tower defense games. Here, instead of having static buildings built to defend you, you get to enlist recruits/soldiers that you may actually move in and around different points within the map to perform each of their intended functions. Additionally, your survival is not limited to the standard life pool as usually seen on similar tower defense games. In this game, as long as one live infantry unit is standing on your side of things, the game keeps going.

Well, to be fair though, that is easier said than it is actually done in this game. For as the level progresses, you’d definitely feel the pressure from the undead pressing back at you really hard –wave after wave after wave. Zombie units also vary which gives them their pros and cons against your own lineup of recruits. This in return complicates the simple need of enlisting units – for it tasks you to develop effective soldier combinations (situating them side by side) to properly outlast the enemy waves. Strategic locations also vary from level to level which also gets you the opportunity to factor in different strategies that would earn you the most advantage in every given mission. For instance, there are higher grounds to give you boosts in coverage (reach) and firepower, as well as tight locations to give you proper shielding from an overwhelming surge of Zombies coming from different points in the map.

The key in beating the levels lies in properly selecting the most effective unit for any given situation, effectively positioning them to maximize their potential, and properly managing your upgrades in contrast with the resources you earn as you beat the levels of the game. Hence, we have devised this game guide to help you simplify the objectives in every level, earn you resources more effectively, as well as to help you weigh in better upgrade options along the way.

Quick Start Guide:

1. Each stage in the game has multiple zombie waves. You may check the mission briefing of every stage to figure out how many waves it has as well as check what types of Zombies it has, their endurance, and the total zombie count.

2. The number of waves listed on the mission briefing is the minimum number of waves you must endure/survive in order to unlock the concluding stage/s in the mission map.

3. After beating the minimum requirement of every stage, you have the option to push through with the game -- with multiples of 5 additional waves every time. Each time you beat 5 additional waves, you are rewarded with a star rating. For instance, the first stage has 5 waves for its minimum requirement. To earn 1 star, you must continue your game up until you defeat 10 waves, 2 star for 15 waves, and 3 star for 20 waves.

4. Even after earning the third star (which is the maximum rating for each stage), you have the option to push through with your game to test the limits of your recruits, test a strategy, or farm some cash for passive upgrades in the game.

5. There are mainly 2 types of stages in the game. One lines you up with the story, along with the normal array of zombie waves and the regular rules of the game (with regards to the types of available recruits, or your funds throughout the mission), and the other one that gives you specific challenges and pitches in some limitations as an additional challenge.

6. Different stages require different strategies. It would be a whole lot easier if you would focus on repeatedly playing an easy stage, and farm for resources to unlock passive upgrades to help you breeze through the latter stages in the game.

7. Bonuses: The game offers several reward funds that you could use to purchase passive upgrades to help you get around the few stages of the game in a breeze.
