In Shining Beyond, players will get a chance to get acquainted to a lot of different characters. While choosing your favorite characters and building a team around them is the ideal way to enjoy the game, there will always be players who’ll want to get the best characters on their teams, either to breeze through the game’s single-player content or dominate the arena. These top-tier characters are also the target of certain players who Re-roll in the game. In this page, we’ll discuss the top Warrior class heroes in the game. Please check out our dedicated Tier List pages for other classes.
Warriors are the game’s tanks and frontline fighters. Their standard properties include high HP, DEF, aggro-producing skills, and blocking or reflecting damage to name a few. All warriors in the game have access to the passive skill, Taunting Slam
. This boosts the user’s DEF while activating an AoE effect that gets the attention and aggro of nearby enemies and forcing them to attack the user while the effect is active. At Skill Level 5, this passive skill also increases the warrior's skill defense by at least 5%. This is essential especially when taking off the heat from your squisher allies like acolytes and rangers. Since they’re taking the aggro and takes the hit for the team, warriors need to have an acolyte in their team to keep them alive and in battle-ready condition.
Shining Beyond has a lot of characters in the roster so for your convenience, we will just cover the top tier heroes in the game and will cover them in individual pages. Please check out our page for the Hero Rating
Athena wields dual shields as means of attacking and defending herself. She’s an outstanding frontline tank, thanks to her passive and hero skills. Her first skill, Penance Aegis, deals damage to enemies based on her DEF and will also buff herself to reflect a percentage of the damage she takes. At Skill Level 6, this skill gets the Iron Will effect which will prevent Athena's HP from falling below 1 HP.
Athena's second skill is Watchful Protector which increases her block chance. At Skill Level 6, this skill further increases the amount of damage it can block by at least 20%.
Athena also has two masteries: Arena and Fallen with effects that are applied to everyone in the team. Arena Mastery lessens the damage taken by the team and increases their damage against opponents in the arena while Fallen Mastery lessens the damage taken by the team and increases their damage against Fallen enemies.
Altima is another high tier warrior who can serve as an excellent frontline tank. Altima’s first skill is Celestial Polarity where she leaps and deals AoE damage based on her DEF. In addition, a vortex will be created on the impact spot, pulling enemies towards it. Guild Raid lessens the damage taken by the team and increases their damage during guild raids while Beast Mastery lessens the damage taken by the team and increases their damage against Beast enemies.
Freya can be considered an offensive tank thanks to her skills. Her first skill, Fury Incarnate allows her to deal damage based on her DEF while also healing her with the same amount. This skill also absorbs the enemy’s DEF - basically lowering their DEF and adding that value to Freya’s DEF instead. At Skill Level 6, this skill gives Freya the ability to leech a portion of the damage she dealt to the enemy.
Her second skill is Fang of Valeria that will straight up deal damage over twice the amount of her DEF. At Skill Level 6, this skill will have the Shield: All effect that negates at least 12.5% of ALL damage received.
Unlike other warriors in this list, Freya has three masteries, making her quite versatile. All masteries reduce the damage taken by the team against enemies on specific battle modes and enemies, while also increasing the team’s damage against them. Freya has Adventure Mastery, Event Mastery, and Demon Mastery.
Faye is an SR unit who can be easier to acquire and build, making her accessible to new players. As a tank, she also has access to Taunting Slam, with her two hero skills further providing much needed support. At Skill Level 6, this skill will further reduce the target's skill effect by at least 7.5%
Hallowed Sigil is her second skill that increases her or an ally’s skill effect by a set percentage. At Skill Level 6, this skill gains the Area: Healing effect that allows Faye to heal all allies in the area for at least 7.5% of her HP.
