Familiarize Yourself With the Job System
Shining Beyond features an innovative job system which enables you to further customize your heroes and help them specialize in certain areas. All the characters by default start out in one out of four basic jobs (Rogue, Warrior, Archer, or Acolyte) which determines their role in combat and can be promoted to more advanced roles as they level up. Reroll to Start Off with Decent Heroes
Shining Beyond is at it's core a gacha RPG which means you will be grinding objectives and gathering materials in order to perform summons in the hope that you get a good character in return. The chances of getting a top tier character is slim so it is recommended that you start off the game with at least a couple of decent heroes by rerolling. Always Upgrade Your Heroes
It is essential that as you progress in Shining Beyond you continuously keep your heroes as upgraded as possible in order to be strong enough to defeat the enemies you meet. This means ensuring your heroes are equipped with the best gear available for their current level. You can easily check this from the 'Hero' menu or use the auto-equip function which always gives the character the best gear available in your inventory at that time. Complete the Boot Camp Missions
Once you are happy with the heroes you have obtained through rerolling you will be ready to start the game. It is important that you make completing the Boot Camp Missions, or at the very least finish the first step as doing so will grant you a free SSR selector ticket which will allow you to recruit any SSR character of your choice. | Can I get back the resources I spent on a hero I’m not going to use anymore? |

| Can I increase my weapon’s star by increasing its grade or tier? |
| No you can’t. You can only increase a weapon’s grade to Grade S and tier to up to Tier 3. A (green) 3-star weapon will not become a 4-star weapon through this process. |
| How can I make my heroes stronger? |
| Your team’s overall battle power is usually the basis to gauge if they’re ready to tackle a stage or not. Ideally, a team with around 20,000 or 30,000 BP lead over the recommended BP on a stage can clear that stage in auto-battle. Of course, the team’s formation, composition, and individual strengths and equipment will factor in as well. | How do I get more hero shards? |
| You can get hero shards whenever you summon a duplicate copy of the hero you already own. This is also applicable if you selected a character you already own via the Hero Selector ticket. You can also get more shards by converting other hero shards to the shards you want by using the Forge. You can also buy them directly from the Shop. |
