Evolution is the only way to upgrade a character’s grade and increase his/her level cap. This process also reset’s the character’s level back to LV1. Take note that you don’t need to max out a character’s level before evolving him/her. You only need to max that character’s level if you want to collect the crystal reward for maxing that character for the first time.
You can also evolve evolvemons themselves up to 6*. Refer to the basic exchange guide below:
Evolve from 4* to 5* requires 4* characters x4
Evolve from 5* to 6* requires 5* characters x5
- A character’s rarity doesn’t matter when evolving; you can even use SSR characters as fodder to evolve an R character though that’s obviously a pointless and absurd thing to do. Since SSR characters are automatically locked as soon as you get them to avoid this kind of mishap, you still have to manually lock SR and R characters you like to keep and exclude from the pool of evolution material heroes.
- Once you’re able to max out other R character levels per grade and collected their crystal rewards, you can freely use most R characters as evolution fodder.
- Once a character reaches 6*, you can either decide to use him/her as a Limit Break material or lock him/her so you can limit break or enhance him/her.
- For advent heroes or enhancemons, you also need to evolve them to 6* before you can use them as Enhance Hero materials.
- For duplicate SSRs and SRs, you still need to evolve them to 6* before you can use them as an Enhance Skill material. You can use their lower-grade copies but the success rate of enhancing the skill is really low.
