The codex contains the details about each hero and monster in the game. It’s a good place to check and learn about certain heroes and their abilities, even those you haven’t acquired yet. Aside from that, you’ll also get a brief character bio which will give you more information about their affiliation, motivations, and background. Here, you can also see their attack animations and alternate Costumes.
You’ll find three versions of heroes, one version per grade. Their appearance changes as they increase in grade. At Grade 6, you’ll also gain access to the character’s official illustration art, which can make for a pretty cool phone background.
As mentioned earlier in this guide, you’ll obtain Crystals for maxing out the levels of heroes (R-SSR only, excluding monsters) for the first time. The codex is the perfect place to check out which heroes and their respective versions you haven’t maxed out yet. Look for the star ribbon icon on the top right of their portrait. Alternatively, you can also tap on the “Max Level” icon in their summary page to see if you have already obtained the reward or not.
