Main Storyline Plot

First set in the Multiverse, an alternate DC Universe, Injustice: Gods Among Us began by telling the sad tale of how the corruption of the iconic Superman came to be. After being tricked and manipulated into killing Lois Lane by the infamous Joker, the Man of Steel becomes a murderous tyrant who vows to halt all delinquents and criminal activity, no matter the violent costs and actions he must take.

Of course, naturally, it comes down to Batman stepping in and having to try to stop Superman and his now evil ways. The Caped Crusader leads an insurgency against the once beloved hero of Krypton, against Superman's tyrannical dictatorship. And ultimately, the Dark Knight and his crew prevail in stopping the mere unstoppable, resulting in the once former hero getting placed in a Super Jail with round the clock watch.

Injustice 2 begins almost right where the original story took off, immediately following the events that saw Superman incarcerated. The storyline starts by finding Batman back at work with his crew of heroes, this time, however, trying to restore society and rebuild Earth in wake of Superman's overbearing rulership. All seems to be turning around for the better, but that's until a new threat begins to rise.

A newly formed super-villain group known as "The Society" begin to complicate the efforts made by Batman and his insurgency, led by none other than the villainous Gorilla Grodd, as they try to stop all the progress made by Batman in the time Superman has been jailed. As if things aren't going bad enough for Batman and his group, to make matters all the worse, the alien and mega-villain known as Brainiac appears and further threatens to destroy this newfound peace (and the entire planet as a whole).

It is up to you as Batman and his select few to stop not only Grodd's Society from disrupting the healing you are trying to give back to the Earth, but also Brainiac from annihilating all life as a whole too. It will take great strength and skill to handle both of these super villains, far more than taking down the turned-evil Superman back in Gods Among Us, but the world and all the innocent lives found throughout are relying on you, their only hope.
