Gear System

A new feature to the Injustice Series is the Gear System. Gear alters the look of character, but some (called Epic Gear) can also increase the stats (Strength, Ability, Defense, Health) of a fighter. Each character can have a piece of gear equipped to one of five places on their bodies: Head, Torso, Gauntlets, Greaves, Accessories. Character abilities can even "technically" be geared, as there are given slots for abilities to be altered and improved for their special attacks or Super Moves. By collecting gear, players can create different load outs for different matches, as well as adding style to their favorite heroes and villains.

Gear is acquired simply by participating in battle within any giving modes of doing so. For every battle, regardless of the results, you will receive another piece of gear. Though the gear you receive will usually be skewed towards the character you're playing as, you can turn this feature in the Options Menu to further broaden the chance at receiving gear for any given character. Gear can also randomly drop and be obtained during battle.
