How to Use the Camera Manual Controls

The 3DS Camera offers different special effects that can help improve or personalize your photos. You can change these settings before taking a photo. To access the settings, follow the steps below.

Changing Camera Mode

  1. Launch the Camera application from the Home menu.

  2. If you launched the 3DS camera from the main menu by pressing the L/R buttons, tap Nintendo 3DS Camera in the bottom right to launch the application.

  3. Flip the red lever in the lower right to bring up the main menu then select Camera Mode to the far left.

  4. Select Manual Controls. From here, you can adjust the brightness, sharpness and contrast. You can also select additional modes.
