I'm trying to do the Missingo cheat with Master Ball in the 6th slot, but every time I try to do the cheat step by step (fly to Viridian City, talk to old man who teaches how to catch Pokemon, say yes, go through the tutorial, fly to Cinnabar Island, surf on the coast of the right side until Missingo pops up), but Missingo only pops up once per ten times.
<BR>When it does, I kill it, and check if the Master Ball has a weird symbol next to it with a 9 but it just says 4 (from the other times I did it).
<BR>If I did something wrong tell me please, if I did it correctly, tell me why it isn't working.
<BR>P.S. I've done this cheat with Master Ball like a 100 times, so if it's because I did it too much and can't do it again, then tell me this too.

Yes you did the whole procedure correctly but you will need to put in the masterball into the pc, then take it out. That should be the procedure if I am not wrong.........

You seem to be doing it right, but if you catch Missingo it can screw up your game.

If you have more than 127 of an item, Missingno will not give you more. See, the game uses binary to store numbers of items. 1 in binary looks like: 00000001. 129 looks like: 10000001. That's why you get 128 more: The first symbol becomes a 1. If you have 128 or more, the first symbol already is 1.

You did it correctly.
I don't know why it isn't working.
Maybe your game is messed up.
My red version is weirder.
I just go to Cinnibar and go up and down and missingno comes up (That or a level 137 Golduck)

Here's some info about this glitch:

1. Usually you can never meet any Pokemon in a town/city. Viridian is an exception in the fact that the old man meets a Weedle when showing you how to catch pokemon. The Pokemon that appears next to Cinnabar/Seafoam islands are the same as those in the previous area you visited. Meaning that if you go to Road 10 you'll meet Road 10 Pokemon next to Cinnabar. Or if you visit Safari zone you'll meet Safari zone Pokemon near Cinnabar. The point is that you must fly directly to Cinnabar without going into any area where you can meet pokemon.

2. Don't catch or battle MissingNO.. Just run away.

3. There should be five items above the item you wish to multiplie.

4. The screen takes much longer to change when you encounter MissingNO.
